Fascinating Failures
There's this beautiful quote which I came
across some time back, 'ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail
again. fail better.' by Samuel Beckett.
We all must have heard this, 'Failures are
the best teachers.' Here, Samuel Beckett's quote embraces failures and to learn
from failures everytime. Each failure teaches us some good lessons
(yes-failures-hurts-but-less-than-a-wooden-ruler-hitting-hands) So yes,
failures are beautiful. But here's the thing have we ever questioned, 'why' did
I failed? There must be obviously some reasons because of which we fail. Though
we cannot blame situations and other
people for our failures because the root of the problem exists within us. As
His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji says, "agar aapko 'kuch' problem
hai toh fir aap 'mein' kuch problem hai." We are solely and only
responsible for our failures. (so-no-blame-game-here) Swamiji also says,
'insaan ke actions balance hote hai toh usske results balance hote hai' So this
means if we do actions in a state of complete balance
that is in a complete present state (without-past-or-future-worries) then our
result will be balanced. This happens because firstly if we perform any action
in a state of complete present moment then we give our best shot to that
action. Secondly, energies get transited. And thirdly if there are energies
which transits in action then result undoubtedly will be balanced or good. And
fourthly it's a game of balance!
Meditation
makes us balance. If we meditate regularly we will be 'staying in the present'
and you know present 'balanced' action leads to better results. There will be
'lesser chances' of us failing. And even if we fail, meditation will be that
helping hand for us to get up from that failure and 'I-suck' guilt feeling. So
let's meditate, 'ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. it will work.
work better. this time.' by Gurutattva.
