The Shushing Feet

Have you wondered what's the most frightened thing we are scared of? Fear of heights, fear of being alone, fear of death and many other fears (fear-of-lizards-whoa-an-agitated-loud-scream) and the list goes on and on.

According to Google, fear is 'the feeling that you have when something dangerous, painful or frightening might happen.' Amongst of these above-mentioned-fears there's another fearful-heart-beat-accelerating-and-sweaty-hands kind of anxiety of fear which we most of us have. This dear and unnerving fear is 'public speaking.' Boo! It is said that the fear of public speaking is more than the fear of death! (whoa-I-know-right) There can be varied reasons amongst different people for this fear. For example, one might think what others would think of himself or herself (others-approval-and-validation-barrier) Would I be able to speak in front of hundreds of people? (self-doubting-barrier) And many other barrier lists which goes on and on. But do we know all these barriers come in a form of ‘thoughts' which later results in unnerving fear and anxieties. As the Master says himself, 'darr ek vichaar hai'. So here we can say that we are responsible for our fears and anxieties because of our "thought processes." And if the problem resides within us then the solution also resides within us right?!

Meditation is the only solution which make us turn inwards and go within ourselves. To deal the unnerving-fears-and-anxiety problems, one needs to turn inwards within ourselves to find the solution. All the fears not only public speaking but (be-it-so-fear-of-death-too) gets overcome when one meditates. Meditation will make us cross all the agitated barriers (thought-processes) with such a great ease and comfort. Shhh... we will cross it swiftly, gently and without any loud noise. So are we ready to put your toes first and walk silently?!
