Teens And Their Misbeliefs

Teens, Teenagers or Sweet Sixteen. We are beautifully categorized each year with an adjective right before our age with every declining adolescent’s period. Also, every year right after the 12am, 'happy birthday' messages.

Though with every year passing by, we (young-dumb-broke-high-school-kids: p) often have some misconceptions about life. A certain pre-conceived assumption or say misbelief of something. And, it is okay to have these misbeliefs, preconceived thoughts and assumptions. We are inclining towards adulthood journey where we are learning, discovering and exploring different-different life events and our ourselves every day.  So yes, it's completely alright to have misbeliefs. Also, it is very important to correct those misbeliefs which were preconditioned in our minds. Amongst various misbeliefs, there are few misbeliefs named, "meditation is for older people, not-so-cool-boring people, and it's only for yogis and not us." There are many other preconceived notions, assumptions and misbeliefs we are trapped to. As a young-foolish-teenager just like you. I was too trapped into this pit of misbeliefs. But 'after few years later' someone gave a helping hand or say lifted me up from this misbeliefs of pit and cleansed me with truths and self-beliefs. That someone was, "Gurutattva".

Meditation is open for all age groups and for everyone. Instead of preconceived notion of older people, one should start practicing meditation in his or her early age, because we have time! Also, we have that body which can seat for meditation which old people somewhere lack, both in time and bodily wise.  Meditation opens the treasure of creativity which resides in you. It will make you become comfortable being you, who you are. You will start enjoying the rides of life's rollercoaster. You will get out of your comfort zone, live a joyous, serene life where you'll be enjoying every moment of life. Meditation will be that healing which will heal every wounds of yours inside-out which medications would not ever be able to heal. So let's meditate and enjoy this sweet sixteen age of our lives and many other upcoming ages.
